Our Beautyberry Bug Balm is the same tried and true recipe as our Beautyberry Bug Spray! In balm form, it is much more water resistant and longer lasting.
One ingredient is particularly unique and quite important. Beautyberry leaf extract. American Beautyberry is native to the southeast coast of North America. It has long been used as a old time folk remedy to repel bugs. The Beautyberry leaf I use in my bug balm is wild crafted and the lemon grass is grown using organic methods on my property. Neem oil is another important ingredient. Cold pressed from the Neem Tree, this oil not only repels mosquitoes, fleas, and ticks- it does wonders for your skin! It is anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and anti-fungal. This product works great to repel a variety of biting insects including mosquitoes, no-see-ums, gnats, biting flies, fleas and ticks. It's also great for your skin and offers relief for existing bug bites and minor scrapes and cuts.
The base for our balm contains pure beeswax from a local beekeeper, shea butter, grapeseed oil, moringa oil, tamanu oil, and jojoba oil. This combination is great to promote soft, healthy skin.

While this product is safe for children, I would do a small test spot initially because some essential oils can be irritating to little ones.
