Mulling spices have been used since ancient times to flavor beverages- especially wine. In Ancient Greece and Rome, extra wine would mulled in order to help preserve it. The practice became especially popular during Medieval times during the Black Plague. Today mulled cider and wine have become a staple for celebrating Autumn. Simply add your bag of mulling spices to a pot of cider or wine and warm over low heat for 15-20 minutes.
Our Mulling spices are packaged in an organic, biodegradable, wood pulp spice bag. Our blend includes orange peel, ceylon cinnamon, clove, allspice, nutmeg, and cardamom.
